Strengths: Founded in 1843 as the Library of the Free Church College, New College Library in serves as the Faculty of Divinity Library of Edinburgh University. It is one of the largest theology libraries in the UK, and is strong in Biblical studies, dogmatic theology, ecclesiastical history, homiletics, hymnology and liturgiology, patristics and missions. Missionary-related archival collections include the personal papers of missionaries plus the archives of missionary societies such as the Regions Beyond Missionary Union, and Interserve Scotland.
